Today the track lights are being installed in the ceiling.  The tiles will then be put in the ceiling and it will make the space look totally different.  A base coat of paint has been applied to the walls so it is starting to look more coherent with the existing space.  Bathroom tiles were chosen today as well.

The noise has subsided as we near the completion.  The fine tuning is now taking place.  Phone lines, heating and air conditioning connected, the floor tiles in bathroom are being replaced.

Things got really hectic yesterday and I missed the blog update.  That is okay, I have more to share today.  Temporary walls are up, the ceiling between the two spaces is being matched in height by way of a rotating laser system.  Interesting to me because I know nothing about construction.  It is coming together quickly.  The finish date is scheduled for mid November, we might actually make it.  Go Pinnix!  It is going to be truly awesome.

Wow the lighting is finished over our expanded Pandora Area.  Yes we are excited to announce that we will be upgrading our Pandora Area which will give our Pandora customers more to choose from, including a line of watches.  It will also give us priority on recieving items.  We are getting very excited about all the positive changes.  Too many to mention here but you will be able to see for yourself before too long.

Today Jake is applying joint compound to the sheet rock surfaces and smoothing the walls down.  This process will take a while and then comes the paint! 

Electrical Wiring is almost finished to provide light above the windows. 

October 14th

Yesterday was wait for the inspector day so there was not a lot of visible change.  Today however we have drywall!  Not everywhere yet, but it makes a big difference!

Today the floor boxes are installed that will provide electricity to the center of the store and areas too distant from wall receptacles.   Also the bottom of the sculptural ceiling is now in place.  A new divider wall was finished in the office area.  I can't wait for the drywall to go up!  It can't be too long as fast as everything is moving. 

Later today Ann Schenk and Brent Messer discuss carpet choices.  I will update you on the final decision,  it is still under discussion.

Hope you had a nice Columbus Day!  The guys are hard at work again today.  Here is a full view of where we are so far.  Notice the trenches that were cut out today in the floor.  Also the ceiling sculptural piece is finished.  From this angle you can't really tell that it is curvy but when it is finished it will be fantastic!.  Oh, have I mentioned that it is Pinnix general contractors that is performing the work for our expansion.  URL for Pinnix - Click here http://www.pinnix.com/ContactUs.aspx.  They are doing a super job!

Monday October 10th, 2011

This morning the team is putting up the steel ceiling frame that will act as an armature for the sculptural ceiling effect. 

Oh yes and Connie brought us all new glasses so we could observe the work better.

Day Five

The activity increases as electrical wiring is installed into wall frames and ductwork is insulated in the ceiling.  The cool ceiling frame is coming together and will be installed before long. 

Day Four

The framing for the office area is officially done.  Looks to me like the floor is next but I haven't gotten the official word on that yet.

Today Jake and the crew put up steel framing for the walls.  It's moving fast!
